Throughout my years as an artist aspects of nature have always been present in my work. As an artist and a member of the society one cannot help but be affected by the consequences of climate change; pollution of the air and water of the planet; over-fishing and trash dumping in the oceans; exponential population growth; depleting the earth’s resources without a plan for the future; and the political machinations that influence society’s ability to respond to these difficult challenges. In my art, the garden becomes a broad metaphor and the underlying thread, to explore concepts of identity and the life journey to observe society with questions about the future of the individual, the society, and the planet.
